HI

I have a a Toshiba Satellite P105 and im attempting to setup acpitools to dim the screen. The screen can be dimmed via the Fn key. But when I try and use acpitools it tells me that "no Toshiba ACPI extensions were found on this system." I'm not sure if that means that I did something wrong in the kernel, or forgot to emerge something, or if my Toshiba just does not work with acpi tools.

Thanks for your time
And any help

Anthony

If you built your kernel with apci support as modules, it will appear in lsmod, if udev did not load it for you, it will be in your modprobe -l, show your lsmod output and also:

modprobe -l | grep acpi
