Just have installed Gentoo on Atom Laptop.
Everything went smoothly, besides the network connection
which is dying as soon as I start upload files to the desktop PC which is the
server in my network. The idea was let the powerful PC do all compilation
and emerge binary packages down to the laptop.
During the synchronization process between the PCs the problem with network has been discovered.
If I download files from the server to Laptop it works well.
If I do the upload like if one browse the web - it works also.
But during the intensive upload with rsync over nfs connection gets broken.
Then nothing works until reboot.
The same has been found if uploading with other program.
I don't even know what I have to blame for it.
It's the first time a see such a strange behavior.
Does anyone has already experienced this?
Thx. _________________ Lefsha |

By trying to setup network in old GOOD fashioned way I've found the problem
of new BAD openrc.
command:
Code: |
/lib/rc/sh/runscript.sh: line 160: .: /etc/init.d/../conf.d/.: is a directory
/lib/rc/sh/runscript.sh: line 171: .: /etc/init.d/.: is a directory
