Hi,
When I've emerged net-p2p/rtorrent-0.8.4-r1 and run rtorrent I get: Illegal instruction (core dumped)
I'm pretty new to gentoo, how can I fix this?
Thanks,
Dennis |

I've also tried to compile the 0.8.5 unstable package, but i get the same results. Disabling all USE flags also does not change a thing.
Help? |

what does happen if you emerge them with CFLAGS="-Os -pipe" emerge -av1 rtorrent libtorrent f.ex. ?
there is a known issues section on their homepage :

Illegal instrucion means that you are using the wrong -march= setting. Either stick with the default "-O2 -pipe" or use "-O2 -pipe -march=native" or find out what the correct -march setting for your cpu is. |
