Hi,

I've recently got a Gigabyte USB Bluetooth dongle. I have installed it on my Gentoo box, and everything seems to work ok.

I'm using a few apps to work with my t86i mobile phone, and everything works as a champ.

However, my problem lies when I have a GPRS connection over the BT and the t68i.

I have setup the proper scripts, and the phone connects, and lets me browse the internet, irc, etc. But... after a couple of minutes since the connection, and after having used the net, it stalls... There is no connection to the phone anymore (but it is still on gprs), and l2ping returns that the phone doesnt answer ping requests. There is nothing written on the /var/log/messages.

The only solution is to unplug the BT dongle, plug it in again, and restart the phone. But, on the next connection, it'll act the same.

I dont have any of these problems when I use simple apps to access my phone through BT.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
MrZammler

Which firmware version is your phone running? Sony-Ericsson are constantly releasing new firmware this phone. I know there are a couple of bluetooth bug fixes in the latest release.

Here in Australia firmware upgrades are free within the first year, so hopefully your's will be too. I'd recommend getting the latest firmware, even if it's just to get the new games
