hello,

I have installed Vmware workstation on my computer.
I set the network to Nat but if I start my Virtual Gentoo I see a red cross on the network adapter.

What went wrong here ?

Hrmmmm...I made an assumption that may not be correct here. Is this a Gentoo VM running on a Gentoo host? Or is this a Gentoo VM running in windows?

It's a Gentoo Vm running on a Gentoo host.

Could you post the output of
Code:
lsmod | grep vm

Also, try doing this:

Shut down the workstation, then

Code:
/etc/init.d/vmware restart

and start the workstation again.

Hello,

The netwerk card is now detected.
But if I want to go to internet I get a DNS error message.

I use the appliance of bagvapp.

Glad to hear that the card is detected. What did you do that made it work?

I have no idea what bagvapp is...if you don't use dhcp, then try putting a DNS entry in your resolv.conf.

Hello,

The restart did the trick.

I use DHCP on the host.
I will try a new fresh install
