|
|
I was wounding if there is a way to get wpa_supplicant to be used by a regular user. i have to run it as root every time i want to look at wireless networks or do something with it. I change wireless networks a lot and it would be nice just to click the icon and it works under my normal user.
Thanks for the help

install also knetworkmanager or a gnome equivalent, and you'll controll your network connections from there ![Smile :)](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) _________________ $emerge sux

highly recommend wicd
i started with networkmanager, since it seemed so easy to use
found wicd to be just one more click than networkmanager, far more straightforward, and more configurable
if youre getting grief, adding yourself to plugdev might be worth a try. _________________ Lost configuring your system?
