I am trying to resize my root directory using GNU parted from the gentoo rescue/install disk. The partition is ext2 and it's features are ext_attr, resize_inode, dir_index, filetype, sparse_super, and large_file. Everytime I try to resize it I get a message: "Error: File system has an incompatible feature enabled". Does anyone know which filesystem feature is it complaing about? |

Can you check once more tell me that the filesystem is EXT2 or EXT3 properly? I have got this sort of error when once i tried to resize the filesystem in ext3,beacuse I failed to take away the journaling effect out of it.
Not sure about case.But you might post some input of debug2fs or tune2fs out put for investigation.
Kindly check the man pages before using those two utility.
This link might help you regarding that;
