How to move ktorrent?

I have ktorrent currently set up under 'root' with some 350 torrents that I occasionally support. I also have configured custom temporary torrents locations with completed torrents destinations as well. What I'd like to do is run my torrents from a different user.

At this point, my understanding encompasses:

1. copying the {SOURCE_USER}/.kde4/share/apps/ktorrent directory
   
2. possibly copying the {SOURCE_USER/.kde4/share/config/ktorrentrc file
   
3. expanding the permissions of the custom torrent directories I've set up

Doing the above didn't completely work. What did work was all the window/display configuration was carried over. What didn't work what none of the custom directory locations were carried over. Also, none of my various lists of torrents was carried over.

Can someone tell me what else I'm missing here?
