Hi,

Just installed fail2ban on my server and when I started that service I got this warning:
Service 'checkfs' needs non existant service 'checkroot'

The truth is there is no service called checkroot.

Any idea how to fix it ?

Thank you for any reply in advance.

Regards,
Jarek

Yes and I presume that also contributed to my sever crash in last week as it turned out some scripts couldn't start as something was missing (the most important for me - network script too).
I'm considering to reinstall the whole system when it's alive as I'm not really sure how many things may it brake when half of the system has already been updated and half not. Is there any easy way to do it or it's enough to do

Code:
emerge --newuse world

Jarek

I would suggest this:

Code:
# emerge -e system
# emerge -e world

Just to be safe.

Rich.
