As the title states, KDM will start up fine, I can type in my information and hit enter and it crashes immediately.
I can start up KDE manually and it works perfectly fine, so I have no idea why it does this.
Xorg log
Any ideas?

Do you have GEM in kernel?

I worked on it a bunch last night and got rid of that, but it still does the same thing.

What does dmesg | tail say (after X crashes)?

It seems that I have the same problem... I get this in kdm.log:

I have read somewhere something about consolekit having to be running but unfortunately on my system it just will not start, I have not found anything in the logs. The strangest thing is that it used to work but then it stopped for some reason... I had removed some KDE-3 packages so I do not know if this is relevant.
Oh and another KDM-related thing, it hangs the system when it restarts. I have to kill Xorg to prevent this.
