Kde 4.3,
Cups 1.3.10-r2
When I try to configure cups I get the error:
Code:
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:631.

or with the cofiguration launcher:
Code:
could not connect to host localhost: Unknown error

How can I open cups?

Let's start from beginning:

0. Is your box accessible as localhost? ping localhost
1. Is CUPS running? /etc/init.d/cupsd restart - any errors?

Ah.. cups wasn't running. (I though the config icon would start it as needed).
/etc/init.d/cupsd restart fixed it. Thanks Jaglover :)

Although now my printers driver doesn't show up ( it used too...).
*edit*
printer driver added by emerging gutenprint.
