Hi
ich hab zur Zeit zwei Gentoo Installationen. Die eine ist eine sehr alte, die ich schon seit 2004 habe (als ich umstieg). Da gibt es so viele Sachen, die ich installiert, deinstalliert, upgedatet, upgradet (usw.) habe. Ich hatte das Gefühl, da mein Rechner selber gut 5 Jahre alt ist, dass das System recht langsam wurde und wegen den vielen Abhängigkeiten hatte ich öfters Versionsprobleme, die schwer zu lösen waren.
Deshalb habe ich eine alte Windows Partition gelöscht und dort ein neues Gentoo draufgetan, im wesentlichen mit einer recht ähnlichen Konfiguration (Netzwerk, HOME Patition, User, Rechte...).
Ich habe dann games-emulation/zsnes installiert und wollte mal kurz zocken, doch es blieb alles stumm. Ich dachte, ich hätte vielleicht vergessen ein wichtiges USE-Flag nicht gesetzt. Das einzige, was mit Audio zu tun hatte, war 'ao'. 'ao' gesetzt, neu installiert, gestartet und sofort mit Segfault beendet. Hab versucht mit valgrind etwas zu erkennen, aber gar nichts brauchbares gefunden.
Dann habe ich mich beim alten Gentoo eingeloggt um zu gucken, was ich für einen Debug-output habe, welche USE-Flags ich habe und ggf. ein binary-package erstellen. Bis auf das 'ao'-Flag ist im neuen System alles gleich gewesen. Also habe ich ein binary-packet gemacht. Im neuen Gentoo habe ich dann 'ao' wieder entfernt und games-emulation/zsnes nochmal über den binären-Paket installiert. Beim starten geht wieder alles, nur genau so stumm, wie beim ersten Mal. Hab mir dann das "Config->Sound" Menü (in zsnes) angegückt und alles sieht OK aus. Ich habe sogar das ~/.zsnes Verzeichnis gelöscht, aber das hat auch nicht geholfen.
Das heißt, das Problem muss irgendwo anders liegen, nur habe ich keine Ahnung, wo ich nachschauen könnte, denn zsnes sagt nur:

also habe ich keine Ahnung, woran es liegen könnte.
Hat jemand einen Tipp für mich? Vielleicht habe ich was an der Audio Konfiguration im Kernel vergessen? was soll ich tun?

habe zsnes probeweise bei mir installiert und bei mir kommt beim starten folgende ausgaben und sound funktioniert:

Die, wie ich finde, wichtigste unterschied ist, dass bei dir die Zeilen beginnend mit "Audio Opened" fehlen. Da zsnes anscheinend SDL verwendet würde ich in der Richtung weiter forschen.

hmm. welche USE Flags hast du bei media-libs/libsdl ?
welche Abhängigkeiten hast du bei games-emulation/zsnes?
