Hello! I was recently given an HP DeskJet 882C. Seems like a nice printer. I configured it in CUPS, using the hpijs filter via foomatic. I followed the Gentoo Printing Guide, and checked my work with the n00b's guide to printing here: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=22291
So.. Here's my problem. I go to print, it acts like it is printing, but only pictures come out. Grayscale lines and such come out too, so I am pretty sure my ink is fine. And besides, it works perfectly in Windows 2000 with the windows built-in driver. I have seen 'quasi-black' that color ink-mixing can do, and this does not look like it. If it is, it's the best fool-me job I have ever seen. Any thoughts? Thanks a lot!

Ok, I was fooled! I checked the ink level... hmm.. filled it up with an ink refill kit.. a bit of coaxing and it works fine now. Ignore me! *hides under table*
