I recently setup a routing box and now i cannot connect in through ssh. The router i set up doesnt have anything running yet as far as firewall or anything at all. Its just simply routing packets right now as i am connected through it and on the web.
if i do a netstat -l it shows that its listening, it also shows that ftp is listenning even though i dont have it running. |

hmmm does it turn of sshd automaticaly? Most routers do this. Also it still might be blocking port 22. What kind of router you using? Read the docs and see if it says anything. _________________ >>>>> Ignorance is bliss <<<<< |

If you've got a private network behind you router, you need to set up you router to do nat and forward port 22 to your box.
can you ping your box from outside? |
