Hi,

My normal user is in this groups:

Code:

wheel console audio cdrom video games cdrw usb users locate portage ls plugdev

But I can not mount usb drives or use the scanner with it.

For example, when I start xsane, it can not find the scanner. But when I start xsane as root, it can find it ...

What could be wrong?

1. what do you use for mounting ? 2. what are the permissions on scanner dev ('ls -l' output) ?
