The partitions on /dev/sda and /dev/sdb are on drives set to be 'Dynamic Disks', meaning they use LDM.
That means I cannot set the partition type in fdisk.
Boot fails when I should be mounting /dev/md5 on /newroot. It throws an I/O error.
In order to boot I must go to the shell, mdadm --assemble --scan, exit the shell, and pass the value "/dev/md5"
Keeping in mind that I cannot set my partitions to Linux RAID Autodetect, can someone help me remember how I got this working last time? |

If you include these commands in your initrd, you won't need to type them in manually every time you boot.
ps. Trying to blend Windows software RAID with Linux software RAID is probably a bad idea if you value your data. |
