Gnome-bluetooth doesn't work for me I don't know why, in console using hcitool I can scan for devices so bluetooth is generaly working, isn't it?
First I was trying to connect through console I cannot remember what program probably hcitool, but I failed to input PIN. I was trying in many difrent ways but I failed to archive anything.
Next step was to make things happen using gnome-bluetooth-manager, but it even failed to found any devices... WHY?
Then I found that marvelous program blueman, excellent GUI and I managed to connect insert PIN and it is actually working pretty well, BBBUUUTTT it depends on:
app-mobilephone/obexd
app-mobilephone/obex-data-server
And the problem is that they are blocked by net-wireless/gnome-bluetooth, so I need to resign from one of them the choice is quite easy, but still I like gnome and I would like to be able to use gnome-bluetooth
So how use bluetooth on gnome? Is blueman the only solution? |
