|
|
I'm trying to allow non-root users play sound on Gentoo, but I can't make then play sound.
I already tried this tutorial at http://alsa.opensrc.org/index.php/TroubleShooting but it don't helped me.
I'm using gnome and I already checked that my user is in audio group and the devices at /dev/snd are owned by the audio group and property of the root user.
when I use totem as root, I can control the volume, but when I in my user, the sound looks like it is playing but the volume control button is disabled and no sound is heard. |

I've solved my two main problems for now, the nvidia and audio problems by typing these two commands.
gpasswd -a fernando video
gpasswd -a fernando audio |
