Sometimes I start my system at home, then I want to start: net.ath0 (wifi) and services that depend on it.
At work I need net.eth0 (ethernet) and services that depend on it
When I'm on holidays I don't need net.ath0 nor nat.eth0. I manually run pppd when required.
Mind that there is 60 seconds timeout for dhcp on ath0 and 30 seconds on eth1.
So:
the services I want to start at boot-u depend on circumstances. Unfortunately there is one default runlevel and 'rc-update add ... default' make some scripts to start (or at least: try to start) every boot-up. Is there any smart way to create something like startup profiles?
Best regards.
