Someone know how it is possible to run phonon with jack under fvwm?

The issue is that I need phonon and kde-phonon because I use some kde4 programs. So, qt-phonon is not an option. When I run kde, I can setup phonon as I want to. But, as soon than I am back into fvwm, the phonon preferences are grayed out and phonon is just not working at all with jack.

How can I fix it and get phonon to work with jack when using fvwm ?

An alternative could be to get kaffeine-1 to work with jack without phonon. (kaffeine for kde4 is the only xine-lib based piece of software I know that doesn't work with jack...)

I made some progress. Phonom is working into the kde system settings. It was a USE flag issue :

with USE=pulseaudio, phonon find only the pulseaudio backend when jackd is running, and it is running all the time. But it doesn't work, no sound at all. I get sound from the other pulseaudio programs with JACK.

Now, in kaffeine, I can click on the mute and volume buttons are working, but I get no sound at all, and no kaffeine port into the connect window of qjackctl.

I get it to work. It was just to edit ~/.kde4/share/apps/kaffeine/xine-config when kaffeine is not running, and add this line:

Code:
audio.driver:jack
