I have very annoying problem...
When I go to System/Pref/Sound (Output) I have two devices :
* dmix
* Internal Audio Analog Stereo
By default it seems that what the multimedia keys control is "Internal Audio Analog Stereo" , but all of my applications (firefox,mplayer..) seems to play on the dmix device... I can manually go and switch to "Internal Audio Analog Stereo" and now the mm-keys work OK, but once i shutdown/restart my computer it goes back to the default option i.e. my config is not stored.
I think the dmix is preferable, so my question is :
HOW to set mm-keys to control dmix device (not "Internal Audio Analog Stereo") ?
thanx alot |

Actually, IIRC since gnome 2.26, pulseaudio is preferable. |
