|
|
I would like to have a tool that execute a program on a remote machine and get only it's output on another machine as it was executing locally for the user. So I wanna know if there is a way to redirect audio via ssh like we do with the flag -X to redirect the X.
Also there should be a way to connect local microphones to the remote machine.
Is there anything that works near it?
If not, can someone help me figure out a way to do this? |

if both machines are on the same network, you could achieve that with pulseaudio. |

Some sort of audioserver (pulseaudio, netjack have been mentioned, esd and artsd are two more) or icecast working over an ssh tunnel.
Step 1 would be to set up an SSH tunnel.
Step 2 would be to get said audio server to work over the tunnel.
If you want bidirectional audio, icecast is probably out. |
