Trying to play a video (well it plays but smplayer and mplayer sometimes choke on it) and i noticed this in terminal
VIDEO: [WMV3] 640x360 24bpp 1000.000 fps 3500.0 kbps (427.2 kbyte/s)
==========================================================================
Requested video codec family [wmv9dmo] (vfm=dmo) not available.
Enable it at compilation.
As i am aware w64codecs have been masked in the tree, now i thought ffmpeg/mplayer had support for this codec now, can anyone give me a few ideas on how to solve this.

w64codecs only contains Real codecs AFAIK.
The message is harmless. MPlayer simply tries the binary codec first, can't load it, and then moves on to the ffmpeg one. If ffmpeg can't decode your file properly, I'd write to the ffmpeg-users mailing list and give them the video, maybe they'll take a look at it.
But in any case, to fully diagnose problems, post the full output of mplayer. |

I looked in the sticky above this morning, was so tired last night, i could see straight, and i did what it suggested, just haven't had time to test it, will do so later, if not i will do as you suggested with the mailing list _________________ I know 43 ways to kill with a SKITTLE, so taste my rainbow bitch. |
