Yesterday I've installed new kernel 3.1.6. I've used old .config and run "make menuconfig" with it. The camera stopped working. I have Logitech UVC camera (E3500). Reverting back to 3.0.6 fixed the problem. Anyone else has expirienced anything like this? Or maybe I should enable some additional options in kernel configuration?

Hi! Try running "make oldconfig". I had no problem with my UVC camera on either kernel 3.1.7 or 3.2.0 now.

my config:

device drivers->
multimedia support->
video capture adapters->
v4l usb devices->
[m] usb video class (UVC)

Looks like this was some weird hardware problem. Shortly after that my PC has died. After repair (just got the PC back :D ), the webcam works again with all versions of kernel.
