Yesterday I've installed new kernel 3.1.6. I've used old .config and run "make menuconfig" with it. The camera stopped working. I have Logitech UVC camera (E3500). Reverting back to 3.0.6 fixed the problem. Anyone else has expirienced anything like this? Or maybe I should enable some additional options in kernel configuration?

Hi! Try running "make oldconfig". I had no problem with my UVC camera on either kernel 3.1.7 or 3.2.0 now.
my config:
device drivers->
multimedia support->
video capture adapters->
v4l usb devices->
[m] usb video class (UVC) |

Looks like this was some weird hardware problem. Shortly after that my PC has died. After repair (just got the PC back ), the webcam works again with all versions of kernel. |
