At work, I have been auto-installing setups with Gentoo, even customizing it for our work environment. Many of the customizations (especially for applications with GNOME support) I did by installing files in /etc/gconf, making them system-wide defaults even for user accounts that haven't been created yet. For other applications, it's not always that easy or possible. A case that I would like to solve however is customizing Firefox (or installing default profiles). Any idea how I would approach this? |

HI Kobboi,
yap a while ago we had the same , hmmm, issues?, well , we did it easy, maybe some will say dirty, who knows , but it works
We placed a Symlink in each user profile, pointing to the same profile and file(s)... thats it (could be a remote profile and files as well... ah? Server based... ah?)
