I'm trying to patch wine to sort-of support hardware cursors in World of Warcraft. Following this (Ubuntu) guide, I've managed to patch wine, but don't know where to place the cursor file.

That guide says to put it in /usr/share/icons/oxy-white/cursors for kde, but on my system that doesn't exist, and I can't find a cursor directory anywhere.

Thanks

Both KDE4 and Gnome save them in your HOME/.icons folder, because they use the same cursors.

Are you sure? I'm not at my home PC right now, but the PC I'm posting this from is also a Gentoo KDE4 system, very similarly configured, and there's no ~/.icons folder present.

If there is not such a folder means you have not installed a cursor theme manually. Every cursor-theme or icon-theme you install manually in every distro goes there and it creates that folder. You can mkdir it by yourself ofcourse.

OK, I think that's got it sorted. Thanks

Good to hear that. Also, if it is sorted, you may consider to add SOLVED on the title. :)
