Hi!
The newest version of emul-linux-x86-medialibs (20091231) has a file collission with libv4l causing at least kopete to fail on my computer.
I filed a bug (https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=304859, but ssuominen concluded that this is not a real problem. For me it is, so now I wonder if anyone could give me some hints as to why both packages want to install the same files (listed below) and how I should fix the problem:
Code: | >>> Completed installing libv4l-0.5.7-r1 into /var/tmp/portage/portage/media-libs/libv4l-0.5.7-r1/image/

so at least to me it seems as they are trying to install the same files.

Note the version "libv4l-0.5.7-r1", it's not in Portage, so it must be coming from some overlay. Portage's versions are 0.5.3 and 0.6.1. |

Hi!
That's correct, I am sorry that I missed that. The portage stable version (0.5.3) does not have any file collision. I think I installed this overlay version at some point in time to get webcam in Skype working since this required 32-bit libv4l-libraries.
Thank you for your help! _________________ --------------------------
