Need help with Sunblade 1500 (Silver) with XVR-1200

I've been asked to help with a Sunblade 1500. Ultrasparc IIIi, XVR-1200 (ati?) 2048MB. The disk has been wiped, and has no solaris

I burned install-sparc-minimal-20100201. SILO boots, but after starting the kernel the system resets just after a message "Console handover"...

Searching the forums, I can't see a fix, or even a clue to what the error is?

Can anyone help?

Console handover sounds like console output is being switched over to a serial line or something.
