|
|
Hello.
Which file spelled starting directory of Xterm? Earlier Xterm starts in ~/, but now it starts in ~/dcs. I don't understand why it happens, becose I have only one file for Xterm - ~/.Xdefaults with color settings. I have not ~/.Xterm. Konsole works fine, X.org starts with KDM.
Any ideas?
-------------------------------
I could not find the configuration file of KDE, which is responsible for that, so I just added 'cd' to ~/.bashrc

This wont fix your problem, but you can always use konsole if you are kde user.I dont see any reason of stickin with xterm on kde environment...but again this doesnt answer your questions, its more of recommending a different terminal _________________ ~x86

IMHO, if I start 'emerge -e world' in Xterm it works faster.
If rename ~/dcs to ~/docs problem looks solved. But it does not give me to understand what was the reason((( |

How about starting xterm in some WM? I've just tested my xterm (prefer it when not using KDE). In KDE it's start directory is ~/Documents/, but in Fluxbox it is ~ (as it should be).
I guess it is KDE related, but not sure how to change it. Maybe to check out ~/.kde4/share/config, there are lots of configuration files in there. |

Thanx,I didn't know this before ) in Fluxbox is OK.
I have already forgotten that appointed a folder of documents as ~/dcs in KDE. And see what's what with KDE)) |
