Since I have been unable to correct the issue with my gnome clock applet, I am going to try to re-emerge gnome desktop hoping that it would solve the issue. My question is will this delete any of my current configuration for gnome, and if so, what files should I back up before doing a re-emerge? |

it shouldn't delete any of your configuration files.
that would only happen if you removed the user, as configuration settings are kept in the users' home directories. _________________ Lost configuring your system?
