|
|
I've this couple of problems with rhythmbox that I'm unable to resolve. I've tried everything and wondering if i've found a bug
1. I can't edit ID3 tags on every file types (mp3, ogg, flac...), but the rythmbox internal CD ripper create fine the tags during the extract process
2. I can't listen AAC files : return additional gstreamer plugin is required - MPEG4 AAC decoder
Here is my conf (x86_64, ~arch):
Rhythmbox use flags :
Code: | # equery uses rhythmbox
* Searching for rhythmbox ...
[ Legend : U - flag is set in make.conf ]
[ : I - package is installed with flag ]
[ Colors : set, unset ]
* Found these USE flags for media-sound/rhythmbox-0.12.7:
U I
- + brasero : Enable CD burning via app-cdr/brasero rather than gnome-extra/nautilus-cd-burner
+ + cdr : Adds support for CD writer hardware
- - daap : Enable support for local network music sharing via daap
- - debug : Enable extra debug codepaths, like asserts and extra output. If you want to get meaningful
backtraces see http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/qa/backtraces.xml

- - upnp : Enable support for local network music sharing via upnp

For the AAC problem, you might need:
gst-plugins-faad
as well? (I'm not sure, but it's a good try). |

Do you see any messages in the console when you start rhythmbox from console and click the option to edit tags? |
