I've got libsexy, enchant, and xchat installed, and recently noticed that I don't have spellchecker working, or not working anymore for some reason.
Are there any ways to enable it, as i've not seen any tabs/options for it in the GUI
EDIT: Had to correct xchat-gnome to xchat, I thought I was using the gnome one, but I did not

Sorry, my mistake, it's not xchat-gnome, is regular xchat
doing the above emerge command on the plain xchat
Code: | gamer ~ # emerge -pv net-irc/xchat
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

There's no spell checking box there, as of xchat-2.8.8.
I have this spell issue as well, though I installed xchat with "spell" flag, and enchant with "aspell" flag
Code: | net-irc/xchat-2.8.8 (dbus libnotify nls perl python spell ssl tcl -debug -ipv6 -mmx -ntlm -xchatdccserver -xchatnogtk -xft)
app-text/enchant-1.6.0 (aspell hunspell -zemberek) |
maybe it's something to do with gtkspell, the default spell-check at configure time. a warning message states that gtkspell is not recommended :
Code: | mmx tinting ......... : no spelling .............. : gtkspell
XShm tinting ........ : yes plugin interface ...... : yes
text backend ........ : pango nls/gettext ........... : yes
openssl support ..... : yes ipv6 support .......... : no
dbus support ........ : yes msproxy ntlm (ISA) .... : no
The binary will be installed in /usr/bin
Warning: GTK SPELL is not the recommended spelling library.
