Hi. I have a sheevaplug running gentoo. Kernel from Nand. And system from a SDHC card 4GB

The system was working fine until I got a no free space msg. Because of reaching the maximun number of inodes of that ext2 partitation in sdcard... I made a new part. with the double of inodes that it had.
In other computer
To copy the all system I used "rsync -Cav /mnt/card /backupCard"
I made a new partitation with mkfs -N 512000 /dev/mmcblk0p1
I rsync again changig only source and destination.
I tried to boot again. And it appears this error. I don't know what's missing. And this system does not use grub. It has uboot tools for managing this. Which I didn't change.
I have another plug running similar configuration, but different stuff. But maybe it can help recover this one. (I don't want to install stuff again)
Is was stupid to use rsync to backup system? did i miss something? What's the problem for this kernel panic?

what if you try to rsync again to a clean backup target with the following parameter:

rsync -ahHSu /mnt/card /backupCard"
|

There is no clean backup from that card (like an image from dd). I didn't use it because of the inodes structure.
But from the other system I have there is a backup from root system, and is quite similar, it uses rsync. But maybe it's better 'dd'.
The only difference in your command, is about hardlinks. There are hardlinks? |
