after updating from KDE4.3 to KDE4.4 the printer configuration in KDE system settings stopped working.
The GUI dialog reports:
Quote:
The service 'Printer Configuration' does not provide an interface 'KCModule' with keyword 'system-config-printer-kde/system-config-printer-kde.py ...

Calling printer configuration manually from a terminal via kcmshell4 yields these status messages:

How can I convince the printer configuration module, that everything is okay?

Thanks
stefan

the most recent KDE update (4.4.2) automagically solved this problem.
Now the printer setup is working again ...
