I'm installing a new box and when trying to emerge qt-script the following message appears:

IIRC, on amd64 -fomit-frame-pointer is redundant with -O2.

Are you sure you're not running out of memory ?
Also, why CXXFLAGS="" ? A typo in make.conf ?
