Since you're using fluxbox, the 2 best choices are probably going to be rox or endeavour2.

If you're using fluxspace, then rox might be even better.

If you want to use nautilus from fluxbox, launch it with the following command line:

meh, perhaps it's Windows that's tainted me, but I've never been a fan of using file managers that double as web browsers.

rox is my file managing poison of choice, personally. Especially after you've configured it how you want it.

Although Nautilus seems to have a more "explorer" feel to it, if you've been wanting something like that.

I am a huge fan of Velocity.

I use it as the default instead of Nautilus.

It is extremely fast.

That is a java based file manager, you have to be joking, fast and java don't ever end up in the same sentence without a "not" somewhere in it.

i'm suprised no one has mentioned Gentoo yet, it's very light, fast and has more options than you can shake a stick at

velocity is defenatly looking good, but it's still very beta, personally I stick with rox until velocity gets a bit more features.

just emerged evidence and it seems to be working fine, I'm currently looking for Velocity but portage isn't showing a velocity file manger, just a java based text editor. Anyone got a website for Velocity?

Is there any file manager that has an option built in to view the images in a folder in a slideshow-type format, a la windows explorer? That's about the one thing I miss using Nautilus... (Tried using xfcewm for a while, but the interface isn't to my liking)

actually, nautilus has that. all my images
are displayed as thumbnails in nautilus.
