Has anyone seen this in the past? The Display applet in Gnome refuses to let me change resolutions on the fly, it comes up with this:
Could not apply the selected configuration
Method "ApplyConfiguration" with signature "" on interface "org.gnome.SettingsDaemon.XRANDR" doesn't exist.
Any ideas? I've tried recompiling things to clear the error but am now stuck. I thought it was the gnome-settings-daemon and gnome-applets.
I'm currently running Gnome 2.26.x on iMac G3 w/ sorg-server 1.7.6.
Many thanks! _________________ Cheers,

Yes, I can change the resolutions on the fly using xrandr, it's just gnome display properties that won't work properly. _________________ Cheers,
