Hello, have a problem with installing:
can't boot my PC from CD usb or lan device.
have:
OS: SuSe 11.2
boot: GRUB 0.97
image: install-x86-minimal-20100216.iso
How I can install Gentoo?

PS: use Linux not long time please help start installation how to novice, next steps I think can do by Handbook

LMAoD,

Welcome to Gentoo

If you have a spare partition, you can use your SuSe 11.2 to instsall Gentoo. You will then have a dual boot SuSe 11.2 / Gentoo system.
If you don't have a spare partition, you must shrink SuSe 11.2 to make some space first.

You will not need the Gentoo *.iso file you have. It only provides tools to allow you to carry out the install. Your SuSe install will provide these tools instead.

I have free hd for Gentoo =)
So if I all understand I can skip 1-3 steps and prepare to install from 4 step in hand book, right?)
And have a question: gentoo export configuration internet and other from SuSe? I don't want it.

PS: sorry, english is my foreign lang and some times have a problems with understanding

Yup. Since your suse is configured.

To have internet access you just need to copy /etc/resolv.conf from opensuse to Gentoo.
