hi!
ich hab folgendes problem:
unter X produziert die ENTF bzw. DELETE taste immer eine tilde (~) anstatt das zeichen rechts vom cursor zu löschen.
auf der normalen text konsole tut die taste, nur im xterm bzw. kde-term ("konsole") nicht.
die restlichen tasten tun was sie sollen (pos1, ende, backspace).
hat jemand eine idee woran das liegen kann bzw. an welchen stellen man schrauben kann um sowas einzustellen?
hier ein auszug aus meiner XF86Config:

Unter KDE hilft es, wenn man im Kontrollzentrum in den regionalen Einstellungen die Tastaturlayouts aktiviert und auf deutsche Tastatur umschaltet. Das hat bei mir das Problem beseitigt.
Wie man das ohne KDE macht, oder warum der Fehler überhaupt auftritt weiss ich leider nicht.

danke, ich hab das mal ausprobiert, aber es hat leider keine veränderung gebracht.
in normalen kde programmen wie z.B. kate hab ich das problem auch nicht, da tut die delete taste wie sie soll. nur nicht in der konsole...

| Könnte ein Problem mit /etc/inputrc sein. U.U. könnte auch eine andere Einstellung für Settings | Keyboard in der Konsole oder eine andere Locale helfen. |

Hi!
Ich hab nochmal ein bisschen rumprobiert und hab jetzt festgestellt, daß das Problem doch nicht nur im x-term (konsole) besteht, sondern auch in der normalen console ohne X.
Interessanterweise hat root das Problem nicht solang es eine login-Shell ist. Als User hab ich das Problem immer, egal ob login-Shell oder normale Shell.
Mache ich dann "su": tut nicht.
Mache ich "su -": tut !
Ich hab in /etc/profile bzw. ~/.bash_profile geschaut ob da irgendwas nur für root gemacht wird, aber nix gefunden...
