Hi,

I use fvwm (dual screen setup) and skype. When I start skype, it is minimized in system tray. When I click on the icon, nothing happens (I am expecting to see the skype window).
If I do the same in an kde setup, the skype window appears just fine.

Anyone an Idea what could be wrong?
Thanks!
Nathan

What version of FVWM is this? Use at least 2.5.30, please as there were some fixes for Skype windows disappearing recently.

Hi,

I have fvwm 2.5.28
Well, that explains it. But it is the latest version in portage.
Do I have to install fvwm by hand or do I have another option?

Thanks!

Hi Nathan,

you can put this ebuild in your local overlay to install a live version of fvwm ... I use it on all of my computers without a problem.

Hi,

Thanks for the ebuild, unfortantly I have problems:
Code:
 * Messages for package x11-wm/fvwm-2.5.30:

 * GIT update -->
 *    repository:       git://github.com/ThomasAdam/fvwm.git

 * ERROR: x11-wm/fvwm-2.5.30 failed:
 *   econf failed

 *

 * the complete build log and the output of 'emerge -pqv =x11-wm/fvwm-2.5.30'.
 * This ebuild is from an overlay: '/usr/local/portage/'
 * The complete build log is located at '/var/tmp/portage/x11-wm/fvwm-2.5.30/temp/build.log'.
 * The ebuild environment file is located at '/var/tmp/portage/x11-wm/fvwm-2.5.30/temp/environment'.
 * S: '/var/tmp/portage/x11-wm/fvwm-2.5.30/work/fvwm-2.5.30'

I don't get it. --enable-htmldoc is a parameter of econf, is it not?

I apologize - I should have told you that you should save this ebuild as fvwm-9999.ebuild :-/

I hope you can emerge it without problems.

Make sense, but it did not solve the problem.
I tried transforming this
econf \
--enable-htmldoc || die "econf failed"

to this:
econf --enable-htmldoc || die "econf failed"

and now it works. I have no Idea why.

Well, thanks for all the help!!!
