|

I am experimenting with a ~amd64 install.
So far it all went smooth except that I noticed the following in Xorg.log: Code: |
The X server will not be able to send the VDPAU driver name to libvdpau |
Downgrading xorg-server to -1.7.7 got rid of this message.
Why do I get this message with 1.8.0 and not with 1.7.7?

AFAIK that is because the dri and dri2 modules from xorg-x11(mesa) opengl setup are not in path.
I worked around this by
Quote: | Section "Files"
ModulePath "/usr/lib64/xorg/modules"
ModulePath "/usr/lib64/opengl/xorg-x11/extensions/"
...
EndSection |

Thanks for replying geki.
However I always read that "dri" is something used by ATI and not nVidia.
I'll try it though.
