thx works fine....

another problem ;)

when opening an url under file location I got an error saying:
you do not have the necessary user permissions to enable autoupdate.

mmhhh I emerged under root...

Yes. Very annoying. I need RealOne to autoupdate so I can get the Sony Atrac codec, but it wont cos it's installed as root. I don't want to install the tarball manually as $USER because I'd rather Portage managed the RealOne installation.

Sorry. Maybe I should have stated the obvious.

IT WONT!

Try it and see. Become superuser; hell, login to X as root and try it that way. RealOne, for some reason, wont run as root under Gentoo, but people don't seem to have this problem on other distributions.

Anything new yet after half a year? I still experience this behaviour in realone and this program is totally unusable for me.
