Hi all,
I have a nicely working "small" gentoo setup. Latest kernel, LXDE, conky, Firefox, Flash etc. Its quite neat and boots rom grub within 16 seconds or so. Now I want to create a compressed image from it and copy it to RAM during boot. (I have 3GB, so a compressed image will take 700MB or something)
The idea is to use some livecd scripts, but linux-live uses aufs, which has no support for 2.6.34 kernel.
How is the gentoo way of doing it? Does gentoo have equivialent scripts to create a live image+ live initrd? |
