Hi,
I had gentoo running perfect last week and I ran into a bug and decided
to reinstall.
Only now I'm getting something totally different as a boot problem.
My machine is a pentium 4, 2 G RAM with 5 SCSI disks.
I just recompiled the kernel with minimal options like I read in another thread.
what is gentoo EDBA?
Why is it too big?
I did enable high memory 4 G even thaugh I only have 2G.
could this be the problem?
My lilo.conf seems to be ok when I run /sbin/lilo
i'm going to recompile now.
thx

Ok, I got over the lilo second stage thing by recompiling my kernel and
doing /sbin/lilo -v -v.
But then I got :
Loading Gentoo...Ok, get ready to rumble!!!!
Then nothing happened.
Since then, I looked at fstab, seems ok.
As I remember make.conf was ok.
Reiserfs was enabled in the kernel.
I replaced lilo by grub.
Loading Gentoo...Ok, get ready to rumble!!!!
again hanging there.
I can't wait to rumble.
