I was going through the Desktop Configuration in the Docs,
I am trying to configure my "screens"
No matter what options I pick for my video card, mouse keyboard, and monitor I get errors that suggest my hardware is not working out.
Any known issues with these peices of hardware:
MSI KM2M Combo-L (mainboard)
this has a ProSavage8 Video card built in (i believe 32M)
Montior is an Acer 7277e (I think V60-80Hz and H75-85Hz, does that sound right?)
My mouse is a GE internet mouse (Microsoft)
my keyboard is 104-key (normal US configure)
Any clue what I might need to change? _________________ Like it? Thought so... |

I am just about to purchase a MSI KM2M Combo-L board from newegg. How did this work out? Is it all working now?
Thanks, Rick |

Great. I was planning on ordering the board today and then I saw your post. Panic mode. I'm building a Linux only box and going to run Linux 100% at home. (Not really that hard, I guess.) I was planning on Mandrake but just found gentoo - the update features have just about sold me.
Thanks for the followup, Rick |
