I am using the linux-2.4.20-wolk4.3s kernel and I went to add a netgear NIC, but menuconf doesn't have the natsemi.
Quote:

[*] Ethernet (10 or 100Mbit)
< > Sun Happy Meal 10/100baseT support
< > Sun GEM & Apple GMAC support support
[ ] 3COM cards
< > AMD LANCE and PCnet (AT1500 and NE2100) support
[ ] Western Digital/SMC cards
[ ] Racal-Interlan (Micom) NI cards
< > AT1700/1720 support (EXPERIMENTAL)
< > DEPCA, DE10x, DE200, DE201, DE202, DE422 support
< > HP 10/100VG PCLAN (ISA, EISA, PCI) support
[ ] Other ISA cards
[ ] EISA, VLB, PCI and on board controllers
[ ] Pocket and portable adapters

Now the source file is in /usr/src/linux/drivers/net/natsemi.c

Can someone help point me in the direction to compile this as a module.

if it's an ISA card, enable "Other ISA cards"; if it's anything else (PCI, built in, etc.), enable "EISA, VLB, PCI and on board controllers". In both cases, a more complete set of supported cards should be revealed to you.

This kind of hiding/categorising of options occurrs in various places during kernel config, so get used to it :) (no offence!)
