Hello
Im from Poland and im not very good speak english, so im sorry.
i have problem with installing gentoo.
I follow the instructions in http://www.gentoo.org/doc and i have error in compilation kernel.
I install portage and kernel ( emerge gentoo-sources).
Next i put make menuconfig, and next make && make modules_install, and i have error:
If i put genkernell all, i have this same error.

Can you post give additional information of your system? And the content of your make.conf (cat /etc.make.conf).
And of course the last 20-30 lines before this error-message appears.

Installing Gentoo is best done with the handbook:
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/
It is available in Polish.
I suggest you start over and follow the instructions in the handbook.
Gerard. _________________ To install Gentoo I use sysrescuecd.Based on Gentoo,has firefox to browse Gentoo docs and mc to browse (and edit) files.
The same disk can be used for 32 and 64 bit installs.
You can follow the Handbook verbatim.

If you have problem compiling kernel on a brand new install, you probably have problem with compiler/toolchain.
Which means probably you downloaded an old stage3 archive, or something like that. I agree, you need to go through the Handbook (hopefully the one in Polish is updated) _________________ Lost configuring your system?
