Everytime I run gkrellm2, after a short while the cpu meter shoots up to 100% and stays there. I check top, and sure enough, gkrellm2 is taking up 95% of the cpu. I tried reducing the number of plugins to no avail. I want gkrellm2 to monitor my cpu usage, not use all my cpu! Any ideas are appreciated.
btw, here's my computer's specs:
1.2 ghtz amd thunderbird
256mb ram _________________ "We can't run from who we are, our destiny chooses us."

from the gkrellm FAQ Quote: |
Linux Kernel 2.4.x: heavy CPU usage
The kapm-idled process records heavy CPU usage when the system should otherwise be quiet. Recompile your kernel with kapm-idled disabled to get rid of this problem. |
perhaps this is your problem? |

That's not his problem. There would be 100% CPU usage with kapm-idled, not gkrellm _________________ what up |

oh, I missed that part. If top is putting gkrellm2 at the top of its list, my previous suggestion is probably bad... |
