Thanks for all the hard work

I tried the Gentoo-Sources 2.6.34 yesterday and the stupid graphic problems with my radeon card are back (squares where the shadow should be below windows and a trace of the shadow over other windows (redraw), also DVD playback crashes gxine -.-).

I haven't had the problem with zen-sources 2.6.33p2, so please let me know when you go 2.6.34 :)

desperately,

disi

trying out ck-sources for a bit, had to do it to get past an annoying ath9k bug (which i doubt is related to the zen patchset)

hope all the devs have a chance to get some relaxation done, get some RL'ing done, and have a bit of a break!
will be back on zen within minutes of the next zen.git. Your faithful minions will be here when you return. Thanks as always, and again, hope you guys are getting to enjoy your time off the project rather than being stuck with yet more (and possibly unpleasant) things keeping you busy.

I downloaded 2.6.34-zen0 from the unstable side and it seems to be working fine.
Note: I use nvidia not radeon. YMMV

I've had no end of annoying window manager bugs the past few days... but I'm blaming KDE, not zen for that.

Hi , I'm just after installing 2.6.33-zen-p2

I had to deselect ACPI debugging due to a missing symbol but otherwise it built nicely.
However I'm getting a packet full of messages like this:

Code:
WARNING: "consume_skb" [drivers/net/3c509.ko] has no CRC!

It seems any module connected to networking gets this warning.

Have I inadvertantly turned something off?

TIA, Gentree. 8)

[sorry for the dupe but disultory did the decent thing and killed the old thread just after my post. Anyone know what this is about?]

hmm git checkout origin/master worked, though.

it breaks in fbcondecor.

i wonder why do i still have it enabled, though. disabling it solves the build problem, and it probably doesn't work with KMS anyway.

Fails to mount rootfs (btrfs) with latest zen, also tried vanilla-git sources. 2.6.34-zen-stable works just fine though.

Edit: I mean zen-unstable, not zen-stable

zen-stable is still in WIP status. New stuff is actively being added by damentz (our newest developer), myself, and dodo.

I have not yet tested the kernel as a whole compilation wise, because I still have stuff on my to-do list for the release (porting slqb, classic-rcu) - getting bfq, etc.

And as far as btrfs in 2.6.34-zen1 being broken, it's pulled directly from btrfs-unstable.git. I'm not familiar with the status of btrfs because i haven't followed anything in a long time. But double check nothing is missing and everything is in order :D

welcome damentz !

there sure can't be too much developers working at the zen-kernel - ideally this keeps load low on each one of you ;)

I had the same problem. Booted to sysrescd 1.5.5 and rana check which returned no errors. Mounted it and tried to play around. Nothing seemed wrong. When I came back to .34 it mounted my btrfs / just fine...
