Does anyone else have trouble with Firefox 3.6.6 and flash? Seems like flash is broken when I upgraded FF to 3.6.6 with flash neither version 9 nor 10 working - just displaying the "plugin needed" graphic.

are you on x86_64?

It was I think yesterday when the last amd64 flash disappeared from portage.

If this is the case for you, try to find the ebuild of adobe-flash-10.0.45.2-r1 and put it in a local overlay.

Edit: No sorry. I just saw that version is Hardmasked. Maybe due to security reasons.

Try adding it to /etc/portage/package.unmask

flash 10.0 IS hardmasked for security reasons.

To get 10.1 running on x86_64 use nspluginwrapper, which allows you use the 32-bit plugin. (10.1 is only available in 32-bit, while 10.0 was also available in 64-bit)

cheers
V.

Emerging nspluginwrapper did the trick. Thanks!

Oddly enough, it was working until recently without nspluginwrapper - both versions 9 and 10. The version of FF turned out to be irrelevant. Could there have been something else that caused flash to stop working without nspluginwrapper?

Exactly the same for me, firefox (64 bit binary) + flash worked then after upgrading firefox it didn't, but installing nspluginwrapper appears to have cured it.
